    What is the legality of modifying my rides Exterior Lighting?

    It all falls back to the MOT when it comes to the law. Your ride must meet the MOT laws otherwise it won’t be allowed on the roads by law. This means:

    • Headlight alignment must be correct or adjustable by the tester to realign.
    • Tail lights must have suitable reflectors or nasty looking stick ones added to pass successfully.
    • Side repeaters must be visible from the side of the vehicle
    • There must be turning signals (indicators) on all four corners of the vehicle that are in fully working order and visible.
    • Fog lights must have a separate on/off switch from the head or side lights
